Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday appreciated the comprehensive reforms approved by the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Council and described them as the biggest decision after India’s independence. Talking to the National Award winning teachers at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg in Delhi, the Prime Minister said that GST has now become simple and described these reforms as ‘double blast’ before Diwali. He said that now GST has become even more simple … on 22 September, which is the first day of Navratri, the next generation improvement will come into force because all these things are definitely related to ‘mother power’.

Narendra Modi said that GST was one of the biggest economic reforms of independent India. Indeed, these reforms are double benefits of support and development for the country. He said that when GST was implemented eight years ago, the dream of several decades came true. This discussion did not begin after Modi became Prime Minister. These discussions used to happen earlier, but never done any work.
Modi said that no one can forget how the Congress government had increased your monthly budget … They used to impose 21% tax on children’s toffees as well. If Modi had done this, he would have scratched my hair. He said that the summary of the reforms made in GST is that it will add five gems to the Indian economy. First, the tax system will be simple. The standard of living of citizens of India will improve, consumption and growth rate will increase, ease of trade, increase investment and employment, and cooperative federalism will be strong for a developed India.
Narendra Modi said that another benefit for the youth is going to be in the fitness sector. Taxes on services like gym, salon, yoga have been reduced, that is, our youth will also be fit and hit. He said that from the Red Fort, I have called a big call to adopt Vocal for Local, Swadeshi. Indigenous, that is, whatever is born in our country, it is formed, which has the fragrance of the soil of our country… It is indigenous for me.
