In Pahalgam, when the blood of innocents in the terrorist attack, sigh and screams, which not only shook the country and the world, but also indicated that the roots of terrorism are still alive and they have political, ideological and border support. But this time a major transformative and relevant step has come out from the US, which has declared The Resident Front (TRF), the mask of Pakistan’s terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba as a global terrorist organization, thus a new chapter of global solidarity has been written against TRF’s identity and terror. This step is not only a formal announcement, but a strategic message on the global platform against terror that now the era of decisive action against pseudo -war and thriving terror has come. This move of America is being seen as a diplomatic victory for India. Certainly the international effort of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar signifies that India is succeeding on the front of terrorism. This decision of America has not only exposed the TRF terrorist face, but also exposed the nefarious antics of Pakistan, which he has been hiding himself as a terrorism. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has described it as a proof of strong anti-terrorism cooperation between Indo-US and emphasized the need for global cooperation in the fight against terror.
The TRF gives the illusion of being a local Kashmiri organization in appearance, but in reality it is the new face of the old conspiracy of Lashkar-e-Taiba and its kingpin Hafiz Saeed. Presenting a new name and new form to Pakistan-supported terrorist organizations is a conspiracy and well-thought out strategy of Pakistan, so that it can show his heart in front of the world. Another irony situation is that Pakistan introduced it as if it was a local organization of Kashmir. It is well known that many major terrorist organizations are being operated from the land of Pakistan. These include Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed and Hizbul Mujahideen. Many times these questions were raised on international forums and Pakistan started being accepted by terror. As a result, Pakistan changed the strategy and also started changing the names of terrorist organizations. TRF is an example of this. It was formed after the cancellation of Article 370 of 2019 and its purpose is to carry out terrorist incidents in India under the guise of ‘Swadeshi Rebellion’. The Pahalgam attack challenges India’s effort that it is doing to bring ‘Kashmir into the mainstream’ through tourism and development. Whenever peace comes out in Kashmir, such terrorist organizations bring a storm of violence. The TRF tried to introduce itself as a ‘Kashmiri resistance movement’ on international forums using social media, internet and diplomatic jargon, while its wires are directly associated with Rawalpindi and ISI’s terrorism support mechanisms. However, it is proof that the US to declare it a global terrorist organization that the intentions of using terrorists as a weapon cannot be hidden under the guise of any pseudonym.

The US declaring TRF as a global terrorist organization is a major diplomatic and diplomatic success in India. This shows that India’s sharp and powerful foreign policy is no longer limited to the condemnation of events, but is based on the strategy of international pressure building. Which also emphasizes India’s proposals in the United Nations. India is committed to make the world a terror-free, warning against Pakistan-respected terrorism for years. After the Pahalgam terror attack, India has intensified efforts to unite various countries against terror at diplomatic level. In such a situation, there is pressure on America to prove that it should not adopt double standards against terrorism. Because America’s duplicity has been in discussion, on the one hand the US claims to stand with India against terrorism, on the other hand Pakistan is given a large amount of money from international currency and World Bank. On the one hand, President Donald Trump talks about standing with India on this issue, on the other hand, who runs the nursery of terrorism, continues to express his soft stand on Pakistan. The Low Safety attitude of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) on terrorism is also surprising. The question is that when the US believes that Pakistan is posing terrorists, why does it not advocate for preventing financial help from global institutions?
After defeating Pakistan in Operation Sindoor, India was ready to create an atmosphere in the world against terrorism. In order to strengthen this fight against terror, India had sent its delegations to 32 countries including the United States. These countries were told with strong evidence that TRF is the mask of Pakistan-sponsored Lashkar-e-Taiba. Probably this effort of India became the basis of America’s strict decision against this organization. The United States had earlier declared Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed as terrorist organizations after the US attack in 2001. Pakistan, like these two organizations, has been using TRF as weapons against India. Certainly this latest action of America is welcome, but India should not only wait only, but should show the process by gearing up against terrorism. It should further strengthen the policy of surgical/drone strikes across the border. International economic sanctions should be sought to prevent funding of terrorist supporters. At the domestic level, intelligence system and cyber monitoring should be made more active and modern. Pakistan’s terror-supporting role in organizations like FATF, UN, and G20 should be repeatedly highlighted on global forums.
Today, it is necessary that all the democratic and peaceful nations of the world unite on one platform and adopt zero tolerance policy against terrorism. No nation- whether it is direct or indirect, should not be allowed to become a refuge of terrorists. Declaring TRF a terrorist is the first step, now it should be the ultimate goal to destroy its roots. Unless all countries are unanimous on the nefarious alliance of the Government of Pakistan, Army and Terror, the fight against terrorism will not reach a decisive turn. The question is also that when Pakistan continues to support terrorist organizations openly, why is it being avoided to be put in the gray list of Financial Action Task Force (FATF)? Experts say that FATF and other international agencies will investigate TRF funding after the latest step.
Pahalgam’s attack once again warns us that terrorism is not only a security crisis, but an insult to civilization, peace and humanity. We now have to move beyond words and move towards resolution and action. India should now not only retaliate, but should adopt a policy of decisive attack so that the next generation can breathe in an India where ‘Kashmir’ is only synonymous with beauty, not terror. India should continue to campaign to expose the TRF on global forums, so that this organization does not get a chance to take the fun again.
