Vinod Kumar says that not only people from Dehradun or Uttarakhand come to his restaurant to eat South Indian food, but people from South India also come here to taste dosa. He told that it is different for South Indian people because here we temper the taste of North Indian spices. That is, a little flavor of North India also comes in South Indian food. He says that many eminent personalities like film actor Joy Mukherjee, poet Kaka Hathrasi, former Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s sister Vijayalakshmi Pandit, Dara Singh’s brother Vijay Singh Randhawa have tasted the cuisine here.

From the year 1944 till now, there are many people in Lakshmi restaurant, who had eaten South Indian food here during their childhood, school-college and are now coming here with their next generations as well. Sandhya Gurung, an old customer, told that she has been coming here since 2006 when she was in college to taste South Indian cuisine, and now after marriage with family and children to eat dosa here. come.

At the same time, another customer Rashmi told that she along with her friend Vimla has been coming here for the last 20 years and is relishing the cuisine here.
