The Indian Air Force currently has about 30 squadrons of fighter jets.
The Indian Air Force will conduct a night landing exercise on a 3.5 km long airstrip on the Ganga Expressway in Shahjahanpur, UP today. Landing of fighter jet can be done on both day and night on this expressway.
Officials said that high level security measures have been taken by installing 250 CCTV cameras. The air show will have day and night phase. It will practice low fly-paste, landing and take-off.
Rafael, SU-30 MKI, Mirage-20000, MiG-29, Jaguar, C-130J Super Hercules, AN-32 and Mi-17 V5 helicopters will be included in this air show. The Ganga Expressway is the fourth such expressway in Uttar Pradesh, which has an airstrip. However, it is the first expressway in the country with the capacity of lading at night.
The last date for 14 types of visa holders Pakistani citizens to leave India was 29 April. Around 70 Pakistani citizens were stranded on the Attari border. The border is closed from both India and Pakistan.
