The accused and masterminds will be held accountable, Ram Kadam said about the attack on Rekha Gupta

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ram Kadam on Wednesday condemned the attack on Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and said that the police would investigate the motive behind the incident and take strict action against the accused as well as its mastermind people. Speaking to ANI, Kadam said that we condemn the attack on the Chief Minister of Delhi. What was the intention of the accused? Why did he attack the woman Chief Minister of the state amidst the crowd? Who is the mastermind behind him? What are their functioning and reasons? The police will investigate all these aspects. He said that strict action will be taken against what is behind the accused and both the accused person and the mastermind will be held accountable.

Earlier today, a case was registered at the Civil Lines police station under Section 109 (1) (attempt to murder, 10 years imprisonment and fine) of the Indian Code (BNS). The accused has been taken into police custody. The team of Intelligence Bureau (IB) and Special Cell are interrogating the accused Rajesh. According to Delhi Police, Rajesh came to Delhi for the first time by train from Rajkot yesterday morning and stayed at Gujarati Bhavan on Civil Lines. Delhi Police claims that Rajesh was talking to his friend in Gujarat over the phone and was telling him that he had reached the CM House in Shalimar Bagh. Police will ask for remand of accused Rajesh. Further investigation is on with all possible aspects.

Meanwhile, after the attack on Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, CCTV footage received from the Chief Minister’s residence in Shalimar Bagh revealed that the attacker was planning an attack for the last 24 hours, the Delhi CMO said on Wednesday. The CMO said, the cowardly attack on Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta is part of a planned conspiracy. It has become clear from the CCTV footage received from the Chief Minister’s residence at Shalimar Bagh that the attacker started preparing for the attack at least 24 hours in advance.
