Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) president Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has re -informed diplomatic tension with sharp comments on Afghanistan and terrorism, and indirectly blamed the US and regional dynamics for Pakistan’s internal security challenges. Bilawal Bhutto is currently on a visit to Washington. Zardari claimed that the way the US returned from Afghanistan and left behind military equipment, Pakistan had suffered losses, alleging that they had now fallen into the hands of terrorist groups.

He said that we talk about terrorism, we talk about Afghanistan, we talk about other things. This is the thing about which we have discussed this relationship in the last few decades. He underlined that these topics dominate Pakistan’s association with the United States. The PPP president emphasized more regional and international cooperation to counter terrorism.
He said that we now need more cooperation at the regional and international level to deal with the remaining terrorism after Kabul. As far as weapons are concerned, you will be surprised to hear that sometimes when we are fighting these terrorist groups within Pakistan, the weapons they have bought for the black market left in Afghanistan are more advanced than the policemen against whom they are fighting.

Although the Islamic Emirates has not yet responded to Zardari’s comments, it has warned Islamabad in the past against inflammatory allegations, which can destabilize already weak bilateral relations. Political analyst Mohammad Zalmai Afghan Yaar criticized the tone of Islamabad, saying that Pakistan is threatening the countries of the region. The Afghan government has announced the economy-centric policy. Can Pakistan give the same message to Afghanistan?
