Teenager dies after being hit by a speeding vehicle in Delhi’s Vasant Kunj

A 13-year-old boy died after being hit by a speeding vehicle (Thar) in Vasant Kunj area of ​​South Delhi. Police informed about this incident on Friday. A senior police officer said that on Wednesday, the Police Control Room (PCR) had received information about a road accident near the ‘Indian Oil’ petrol pump located in Vasant Kunj.

He said that when a police team reached the spot, they saw a teenager lying unconscious on the road. There was a damaged bicycle near him. The officer said he was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

The deceased has been identified as Master M., resident of Vasant Kunj. Officials said that after the collision, the driver fled from the spot with the vehicle. A crime team inspected the scene and collected evidence.

Police have registered a case under section 281 (rash driving) and section 106 (1) (causing death by negligence) of the Indian Justice Code (BNS).
