After Dream-11, the new jersey sponsor of Indian cricket has been found. Actually, the name of Apollo Tires will now be printed on Team India’s jersey. Apollo Tires have signed an agreement with BCCI till 2027. The new title sponsor was announced after the deal was canceled with BCCI’s online gaming company Dream-11. Apollo Tires will pay about Rs 4.5 crore for a match to BCCI, which is higher than Dream-11. Dream-11 used to pay 4 crores per match to BCCI. India’s international cricket schedule is going to be quite busy, which will give the new sponsor significant globally. India has to play around 130 matches by the year 2027. However, it is not yet clear whether the new sponsor will be named on the Indian team’s jersey in the upcoming women’s World Cup. The tournament will be held in India and Sri Lanka’s joint host from 30 September.
Explain that the agreement of BCCI and Dream-11 was canceled after the online Gaming Act 2025’s publicity and regulation was passed. The BCCI had an agreement with Dream-11 of Rs 358 crore per year. Last month, Parliament passed a bill to ban all online games played through money and promote e-sports and online social gaming. These laws also ban advertisements related to online money game, as well as prevent banks and financial institutions from providing money for any such game.
