Thousands of teachers have sat on an indefinite dharna since Monday night outside the WBSSC headquarters for not releasing the list of qualified teachers in the West Bengal Teacher Recruitment Scam case. In fact, the state education minister Balata Basu had promised to release the list of innocent candidates guilty by 6 pm on 21 April.
Performing in strong sunlight, more than 2,000 protesters have surrounded the WBSSC headquarters. Due to which the officers have stopped going in and out. Commission Chairman Siddharth Majumdar has been stranded inside since Monday evening. The protesting teachers are demanding that the commission make the list of candidates who were appointed on merit.
At the same time, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday urged teachers to return to work and start teaching in schools at an event in Midnapore. He said- You do not need to think who is guilty and who is not. You just have to think that your job and salary is safe. We assure that you will get salary.
On April 3, the Supreme Court upheld the decision of the Kolkata High Court associated with the scam. The High Court had canceled the 2016 teacher and staff recruitment as illegal. The Chief Minister also spoke of visiting the affected areas of Murshidabad in the first week of May. Violence erupted here on 11-12 April.

Protesters- Now we have nothing to lose
A protesting teacher said- Now we have nothing left to lose. Till justice is not available, we will not move away from here. Another teacher said- If we have to stay hungry under the open sky, then people sitting in AC room should also be hungry.
The protesters protested by playing empty bottles and raising slogans. He says that the Commission is constantly lying and the assurance of Education Minister Bratya Basu is just a deception. One teacher said- I served seven years, and now I was called disqualified. My daughter needs kidney treatment every month, now nothing is left to save her.

Mamta Boli- will file review petition in Supreme Court
Mamta Banerjee said that the state government will file a review petition in the Supreme Court and appealed to the teachers to maintain trust. Mamta said- We assure you that at the moment your jobs are safe and you will get salary. I have talked about this several times since last night. The Chief Minister said- A review petition will also be filed in the Supreme Court for Group C and Group D employees who have lost their jobs.
BJP MP said- difference between guilty and innocent candidates is not contempt of court
BJP MP Abhijeet Gangopadhyay alleged that Basu is trying to mislead the teachers. He said, “Candidates are only demanding transparency in the recruitment process. Difference between guilty and innocent candidates will not be a contempt of court. I urge the teachers to continue the peaceful agitation until they get justice.”
West Bengal BJP President Sukant Majumdar said, “BJP’s stance is clear. BJP wants those who are qualified, those who are unqualified will not get a job. Those who have stolen should not be sent to jail. The problem cannot be resolved until the culprits are sent to jail.”
R.G. West Bengal Junior Doctors Front, who was ahead in the agitation that brought justice to the tax hospital rape and murder victim, has also shown solidarity in demonstrations with teachers performing.

CBI sorted 19 thousand eligible candidates
A SSC official told Bhaskar that the CBI had recovered a hard disk from a former employee of Nyasa Communication, a former employee of Nyasa Communication, who conducted the 2016 recruitment examination.
The disc consisted of scan copies of OMR sheet. The server seized from the SSC office also contained some data. About 22 lakh candidates appeared in that examination. The 19 thousand names that have been decided right now have been prepared by the CBI by looking at the mirror image of the OMR sheet.
At the same time, the agitating teachers have demanded that the government release mirror images of all OMR sheets. This will reveal the truth of qualified and unqualified itself. On this, the Education Department says that it is not possible to release the mirror image of sheets, because SSC does not have any OMR sheet.
