The latest post on Yash Dhul’s Instagram account is mysterious. It reads – ‘Still here’. Although it is difficult to extract its accurate meaning, these two words probably give a feeling of relief which is now prevalent in this Delhi batsman.
Last year, about 17 mm hole was found in Dhul’s heart at the same time and had to undergo surgery, but he showed courage to return to cricket within a few months, denying 21 years of age. A year later, Dhul scored a brilliant 133 runs against the eastern region for the north region in the Dalip Trophy here. He realized that that difficult period had made him a more strong person.
Dhul said after helping the North Zone reach the semi -finals of the Dalip Trophy, “The difficult times taught me a lot about my game, about my game, my life.” How to move forward, how to improve. A lot has happened. Now I just enjoy my game, spend time on it and it gives me great pleasure. ”
Dhul has now realized that ups and downs are the same part of his career as his life. He said, “Also I have to handle such things. There will be ups and downs. I have to deal with them and move forward. “Dhul said,” But right now I want to live in the present. I do not want to think about the past or future. I just want to take advantage of the opportunities with me and enjoy them. ”
This 22 -year -old team adopted the snooker in a difficult period which helped him focus on life and sports. He said, “At that time I used to play a lot and spend a lot of time in it. That game taught me a lot. ”
Dhul said, “My mind often wandered around, I was not able to pay much attention. That game taught me to focus more. “Dhul has no doubt that it will prove to be beneficial for him later in the initial tournament of the session. He said, “This is a good platform for us just before the start of the domestic season. All top professional players are playing here. This is a good preparation (for the upcoming session). ”
Dhul also performed his white ball talent in the Delhi Premier League (DPL) where he scored an average of 87 in only eight and 435 runs at a strike rate of 167.31. The Delhi batsman accepted the importance of DPL in view of domestic white ball tournaments like Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy.
