West Bengal BJP president and MP Sukant Majumdar on Sunday claimed that Ramnavami rally was attacked in Park Circus Seven Point area of Kolkata.
By sharing the video on the social media platform ‘X’, Majumdar wrote- only after carrying the saffron flag, stones were lashed out at the vehicles. Glasses (windshields) were broken. Anarchy spread. This was not a normal phenomenon but a target violence.
In response, Kolkata Police said- permission was not taken for any procession. Nor did any such activity happen in the area. On receiving information about the damage to the vehicle, the police immediately took action and the situation is normal. A case is being registered for investigation. Do not pay attention to any rumor.
Ram Navami was celebrated across the country on Sunday. Processions were taken out on Ram Navami in UP, MP, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Haryana, West Bengal, Jharkhand.
