Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Tuesday gave Justice B.C. Sudarshan Reddy taunted the fodder scam guilty and met RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav. Giriraj Singh criticized Sudarshan Reddy for talking about morality during a meeting with a person convicted in the scam. Union Minister Giriraj Singh said that we are confident of winning the election. Opposition Vice Presidential candidate, B.C. Sudarshan Reddy, who is a former judge, met RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, who was convicted in the fodder scam and he is talking about morality.

The meeting caused political controversy and BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad strongly condemned it on Monday. Speaking at a press conference in New Delhi, the BJP MP said, “Retired Judge Sudarshan Reddy of the Supreme Court is the opposition candidate for the post of Vice President. We still respect the judges a lot today, whether they are the current judges or retired. But when a judge stands in the election and says some big things, the question arises.”
Taking a dig at Reddy to meet Lalu Prasad, he asked, “What kind of retired judge of the Supreme Court are you that you are meeting someone who is guilty of scam? And Lalu Prasad is not even voters nor MP, then why are you talking about praising the soul of the nation? Why are you talking about the soul of the nation. Please do not talk about the soul of the nation.” Reversing BJP, B.K. Sudarshan Reddy said, “They keep saying what they come to mind. Is Lalu an ordinary man? It is not right to say such things about anyone.”

Meanwhile, Union Ministers Shivraj Singh Chauhan and Jitan Ram Manjhi expressed confidence in CP Radhakrishnan and their victory. Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said, “NDA’s victory is certain. CP Radhakrishnan will be the new Vice President.” Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi told reporters, “NDA candidate CP Radhakrishnan will definitely win the Vice Presidential election.” Union Minister Suresh Gopi supported Radhakrishnan and described it as an election focused on “fairness, truth and effectiveness”.
