Syed Kirmani expressed concern over politics in Indian cricket, said- I feel ashamed

Former Indian wicketkeeper Syed Kirmani has blamed India for moral downfall in modern cricket. He has accused the team of allowing politics to enter the game which was once a symbol of gentleness and fair sports.

Actually, Kirmani said that cricket is in crisis at the Indian team and globally. He further said that rude behavior ego and disrespect have replaced the simple and noble etiquette of the field. This is not just a matter of Asia Cup. Which India won, but it is part of a broad and worrying trend. I am getting messages from America, Britain and United Arab Emirates, asking what has happened to the Indian team? Why is there so much politics happening on the field? I am ashamed to hear such words from my friends abroad.

Kirmani clarified that politics has no place in cricket. Whatever happens outside the field, whether it is personal ambition or flood relief, it should never be dragged on the field. Cricket is not a platform to earn political gains. Every player every team and the cricket board should have firm belief.

He has described today’s Indian cricket as completely different from his era. Kirmani said that cricket was more than a game in our time. It was a symbol of honor and Ichar. Pakistani players used to come to India, we used to go to Pakistan. We used to ask the families, and we used to salute Dua and meet warmly. That world is no longer. Where did she go?

Kirmani says that the messages we received today show global hatred. He said that, I could show them but I will not show. What has happened in the Asia Cup today, what has happened to cricket today, it is very disappointing for me and countless cricket lovers who cherished the game for its dignity.
