According to Dainik Jagran’s report, match referee Richie Richardson has sought a response from Suryakumar on a statement during the award ceremony and at the press conference. The report states that the PCB had made two complaints from the ICC about Surya. The ICC has sent two reports on the complaint of PCB to the match referee Richie Richardson, after which the Indian team has been made a mail from them.
The mail sent by Richie Richardson wrote that ICC has sent me two reports to handle. The Pakistan Cricket Board had filed two complaints about Suryakumar Yadav’s match presentation and statement in the press conference. After watching all the reports and examining the evidence, I have come to the conclusion that the statement made by Suryakumar Yadav has damaged the spirit of the game. This makes allegations against them. It has been said in this mail that if Suryakumar Yadav does not accept this charge, then it will be heard. The hearing will include Surya and PCB representatives besides me.
Let me tell you that Surya said after defeating Pakistan in the league stage match of the 2025 Asia Cup that this victory is dedicated to Pulwama’s victims. After this, in the press conference, Surya had said that we had received instructions from the government and BCCI that we will not join hands with Pakistani players after winning.
Suryakumar Yadav will be banned
According to the ICC, the case would be considered as Level-1 violation. In such a situation, no player is banned. Only the player can be fined match fees. Any player is banned only when there is a violation of level 2,3 or 4.
