The GST Network has said that taxpayers who have not filed GST returns for two months till the June 2021 or June 2021 quarter will not be able to file e-way bills from August 15.
Experts say the move comes after the Goods and Services Tax (GST) was introduced in August Assist in increasing the collection Will do, as outstanding GST returns are expected to be filed.
Last year, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) lifted the ban on the production of electronic e-way bills for non-filers, providing compliance relief during the Kovid epidemic. “The government has now decided to lift the ban on e-way billing on the EWB portal for all taxpayers from August 15,” GSTN told the taxpayers. As such, the system will verify returns filed after August 15, 2021 and, if necessary, restrict the production of e-way bills.
