Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav urged the Election Commission on Monday that special intensive revision work of the voter list should be banned till the assembly elections in Bihar.

Former Deputy Chief Minister Yadav claimed, “This exercise should be stopped till elections. The Election Commission should talk to its booth level officials, who are facing the displeasure of the voters while collecting the data.
He said that people are getting a lot of inconvenience due to the Aadhaar card and MNREGA job cards, which are available to most people, being excluded from the list of acceptable identity proofs.
Yadav said, “It is surprising that the Aadhaar card, which are made after biometric verification and whom the Election Commission intends to connect with the voter ID cards concerned is not being accepted.”
He asked the Election Commission to release the constituency -wise details of voters under this process on a daily basis. He also demanded that the details of those “volunteers” be published which are helping BLO as per the notification of the Election Commission.
Yadav said, “What is the criterion behind accepting a person as a volunteer, it should also be revealed.” He said, “We have been raising our concerns before the Election Commission. We have also moved the Supreme Court for timely intervention.
