The round of retirement in the cricket world continues. Many veteran cricketers are announcing retirement one by one continuously. On Monday, June 2, first Australia all -rounder Glenn Maxwell said goodbye to ODI cricket. At the same time, South African batsman Henrik Klassen said goodbye to all three formats of cricket. He himself gave this information through social media.
Heinrich Klassen wrote on Instagram that, this is a sad day for me because I have decided to stay away from international cricket. It took me a long time to decide what is better for the future of me and my family.
He further wrote that, representing my country from the very first day was the greatest honor for me and all this is all the time for which I worked as a young boy and who dreamed. I am eager to spend more time with my family as this decision will allow me to do so.
Let me tell you that in January last year, 32 -year -old Klassen announced his retirement from Test cricket to focus on white ball cricket. Henrich Klassen played the last match against New Zealand in the ICC Champions Trophy semi -finals for South Africa last year.
Currently, classman scored 104 runs in 4 Tests for South Africa, 2141 runs in 60 ODIs and 1000 runs in 58 T20 matches. He made his international debut in ODI against India in Cape Town in February 2018.
