Mumbai Police’s Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) has summoned social media influencer Ori in a drug manufacturing and smuggling case worth Rs 252 crore. Ori, whose real name is Orhaan Avtramani, has been issued the summons following the revelations of arrested drug supplier Mohammed Salim Sohail Shaikh alias Lavish, who was recently deported from Dubai for his connection with the Rs 252 crore mephedrone seizure in Sangli in March 2024.
According to investigators, Shaikh revealed during interrogation that he had organized rave parties in India and abroad, which were reportedly attended by many Bollywood celebrities. Sheikh, who was living in Dubai with his family for the last three years, was allegedly coordinating between drug peddlers and arranging the supply of raw material to drug manufacturing units in Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Telangana and Rajasthan. However, Ori has sought a date after November 25 as the social media influencer is not present in the city and could not be present for questioning today.

What is a drug case?
Sources have revealed that Salim Shaikh has said in his statement that Ori and Alisha Parkar, nephew of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, are good friends and the social media influencer used to take drugs and attend drug parties.
To investigate these allegations, the Ghatkopar Unit of the Anti-Narcotics Unit of Mumbai Police has called him for questioning.
Police sources also said that people involved in this drug network (buyers and sellers) used Zengi, Signal, Trima, Instagram and FaceTime to talk to each other. Sources also claimed that all the people associated with Bollywood and politics named by Sheikh may be called for questioning.
Doubt on many celebrities
In his statement, Salim mentioned many names, including actress Shraddha Kapoor, her brother Siddharth Kapoor, producer-director Abbas-Mustan, former MLA Zeeshan Siddiqui, actress and dancer Nora Fatehi, influencer Orhan Avtramani alias Ori, Alisha Parkar, son of Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parkar and rapper Loka.

The police have found some important evidence, on the basis of which the investigation of this entire network is being intensified. Many celebrities are expected to attend it. Summons can be issued to all of them to join the investigation. For those who don’t know, in July Mumbai Police and their colleagues in Mysore busted a mephedrone manufacturing unit and seized drugs worth more than Rs 300 crore. On Monday, the city police detained Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh, an alleged drug dealer who was deported from Dubai last month.
