After the big screen, the actress Bhumi Pednekar is finally going to step into the world of OTT. She will soon be seen in the web series ‘The Royals’. However, this is not the first time he has received a proposal to work in the web series. Even before this, he had rejected many OTT projects.
In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Bhumi Pednekar said, ‘I received many web series offers to debut on OTT. I also read the scripts of all, but refused to do them. However, all those projects later were quite successful. But the biggest thing is that I never felt the same association with those projects, as it happened to ‘The Royals’. So he agreed for this.
Bhoomi further said, “The most important thing for me was to meet the right story and right genre. As far as ‘The Royals’ is concerned, it is a romantic comedy, and Rome-Com is my most favorite genre. I don’t think we are making such films or shows nowadays. I have grown up reading Mills and Boon’s novels. Perhaps this is why I also like Korian Drama, because I also like romance, because I also like romance.
The show will premiere on Netflix on 9 May
Ishaan Khattar will be seen in the lead role alongside Bhumi Pednekar in ‘The Royals’. Apart from these two, the show has many artists like Zeenat Aman, Sakshi Tanwar, Nora Fatehi, Dino Moriya, Milind Soman, Chunky Pandey, Vihaan Samat and Sumukhi Suresh. The show will premiere on Netflix on 9 May.
