Snake bites the young man taking iron from Naxalites
During the Naxal-anti-Naxalite campaign in West Singhbhum district of Jharkhand, a special unit of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) ‘Commando Battalion for Rejolute Action’ (Cobra) died of a snakebite. This information was given in a statement issued by the State Police Headquarters on Wednesday. The deceased has been identified as Sandeep Kumar of 209 Cobra Battalion.

The statement said that at the time of the incident, Kumar was involved in the campaign against a banned extremist organization in Noardha forest of Chhotanagara police station area. The statement said he was rushed to the hospital, but died during treatment.
Maoists resistance week
In another incident, Maoists have called for ‘Resistance Week’ on 8-14 October 2025.Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said that by March 31, 2026, India will become Naxal -free India, while the banned Naxalite organization – CPI -Maoist – has called for a shutdown in five states of eastern India on 15 October 2025.
The CPI-Maoist has issued a press release in Chaibasa in West Singhbhum district of Jharkhand, stating that it will implement the shutdown in Bihar, Jharkhand, North Chhattisgarh, West Bengal and Assam.A CPI-Maoist release states that inter-state bandh has been called in protest against the killings of his peers in “false encounters”. The release further states that its workers will celebrate the “Resistance Week” lasting a week from October 8 to October 14.

It is believed that the CPI-Maoist shutdown and resistance week program in these states is his move to raise support and display its presence against the anti-Maoist campaign launched by the Center to free India from leftist extremism, which is a resolve of the Prime Minister Modi government.
