The smuggler’s partner is in jail
It has been told by the DGP that the police investigation has revealed that its wires are connecting with Manpreet Singh caught in smuggling from Amritsar. The prisoner who is an associate of the prisoner Gurvinder Singh, who is currently lodged in Sangrur Jail. From the possession of Manpreet Singh, the police recovered 4 kg of heroin, drug money of Rs 5.5 lakh, a lock pistol and recovered.
DSP was arrested
According to the DGP, during the investigation, DSP security Gurpreet Singh of Sangrur Jail was arrested for involvement in smuggling activities inside the jail. He was found actively involved in smuggling drugs and mobile phones in the premises and was receiving payment through UPI accounts associated with his family members. We are committed to the zero tolerance policy with any type of internal agreement or collusion with criminal elements. Any person – whether his position or position is – will not be spared if found involved in illegal activities.
