  • The birth place on the birth certificate of the child is never written in jail. This is done so that there is no social discrimination with the child in the future.
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding women are never placed in prison in strict detention or any kind of disciplinary separation.
  • According to the National Model Prison Manual 2016, the child’s care responsibilities are taken care of while deciding in which jail the woman should be sent after the birth of the child. The rule is that as far as possible, the woman should be given the option to choose a prison.

In the case of Muskan, his brother Rahul has said that if this child belongs to Saurabh, we will accept it. Will take care of it. If this is not done by Saurabh, then we will not mean anything to this child. For this, the police should get DNA test done legally.

answer- In 2002, the National Institute of Criminology and Forensic Science did a study with the children of women living in Indian jails. Food, healthcare, living space, education and entertainment were struggling with lack of fundamental facilities.

According to one such report of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences in the year 2018, this situation is not normal for the children of women prisoners in jail. As he grows up, all the questions start to arise in his mind.

When such children are sent to relatives or child care centers after 6 years, they are once again difficult to mold themselves in the new environment. Many times such children have to wait for months to year due to administrative negligence to meet their mother.
