In Palghar district of Maharashtra, six persons were injured and some houses were also damaged in two incidents of lightning. Officials gave this information on Sunday. The lightning incident occurred on Saturday in several parts of Johar tehsil of Palghar district.
District Disaster Management Center officer Vivekananda Kadam said that a house was damaged in the incident of lightning in Dhanwa village at around 10:30 pm due to information received by the Tehsildar of Johar and five members of the family were injured.
He said that the injured were admitted to the hospital and discharged after treatment. He said that the second incident of lightning occurred in Dhari village of Johar tehsil.
A person was injured and is being treated in this incident. He said that at the time of strong winds and rain, the people of the village should take necessary precautions and avoid living under open fields and trees.
