A spokesman for the agency said that a raid was conducted in a establishment called ‘Shalimar Textiles’ in Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi.
He said that the objective of the raid was to eliminate a syndicate that funded terrorism from across the border. The spokesman said that a search warrant was received from a special judge nominated under the NIA Act in Srinagar for the raid. He said that the matter has been exposed to a dreadful conspiracy hatched by Lashkar masters and commanders sitting beyond the Line of Control, which along with Pakistani citizens settled in Gulf countries and other places were plotting through courier networks in disguise as pilgrims, traders and migrants.

The spokesman said that Mohammad Ayub Bhat, a resident of Budgam in Jammu and Kashmir, runs a business establishment called ‘Shalimar Textiles’ in Lajpat Nagar. He said that Bhat was working as a valid businessman and was providing funds for the terrorist activities of Lashkar-e-Taiba in the valley. The spokesman said, “Mohammad Rafiq Shah, a resident of Bemina region of Srinagar, was also working closely with him.
