The three -member SIT includes 1. Pramod Verma, IG Sagar Zone, 2. Kalyan Chakraborty, DIG, 3. SAF, Vahini Singh, SP, Dindori. All three IPS officer Vijay Shah will investigate the case.
Know who these members of the SIT team are
- Pramod Verma, IG Sagar Range: Pramod Verma, a 2001 batch IPS, is the IG of Sagar Range. In February 2018, he was made the IG of Sagar. In 2022, the Union Home Ministry received an outstanding service medal.
- Kalyan Chakraborty, DIG, SAF: The 2010 batch IPS D Kalyan Chakraborty is the DIG of SAF (Special Armed Forces) at Police Headquarters in Bhopal. He also went on central deputation. In 2020, he was made SP in CBI. He has also been the SP of Datia, Khargone.
- Vahini Singh, SP Dindori: Vahini Singh, an IPS officer of 2014 batch, is currently SP of Dindori district. Vahini Singh, originally from Rajasthan, is counted among the honest women police officers. She has also been the SP of Niwari district earlier.
Minister Shah challenged FIR in Supreme Court Let me tell you that on May 12, Minister Vijay Shah, while addressing a program in Raikunda village of Mhow, described Colonel Sophia Qureshi as the sister of terrorists. In this case, an FIR was lodged against the minister on 14 May at the Manpur police station of Mhow on the orders of the High Court. Against which Vijay Shah reached the Supreme Court.
During the hearing in the Supreme Court on Monday, Vijay Shah’s lawyer said that his client had apologized. The court reprimanded him on this. The court said that you have been completely exposed to people. You are a public figure. You should consider your words while speaking.
IG rank officer was ordered to make SIT Chief The Supreme Court had ordered to form a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the case. In which it was said that it will include three IPS officers. One IG and the remaining two will be SP level officers. It will be mandatory to be an officer woman. All officers can be of Madhya Pradesh cadre, but should not be natives of the state. SIT will file a status report by 28 May.
