The Chief Minister said that you should start this initiative by yourself. Instead of preaching others, why do you not suggest the name of a Dalit leader as the BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate?
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Thursday suggested the BJP that now he has a golden opportunity to nominate a Dalit leader as the next Prime Minister as Narendra Modi is 75 years old and RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat has indicated the Prime Minister’s political retirement. Siddaramaiah said in a media statement addressed to Karnataka BJP President BY Vijayendra that he should consider his party instead of wasting time on the Congress.

The Chief Minister said that you should start this initiative by yourself. Instead of preaching others, why do you not suggest the name of a Dalit leader as the BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate? Taking a dig at Vijayendra, the Chief Minister said that he is not able to keep the stability of the chair he is sitting on, but is showing the courage to give advice to the Congress who should be our prime ministerial candidate. He said that it is not only a demonstration of his ignorance and self-glory, but also a demonstration of his egoistic rights. If Vijayendra has a habit of reading, then he should be familiar with history how the BJP has treated the backward classes, Dalits and minorities of this country. He should consider the embarrassing episode of Bangaru Laxman, a Dalit leader who was made by the BJP national president of the party only to defame him by accusing him of corruption and sent to jail, an insult that eventually led to his death.
