Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar met Defense Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi today. The CMO said that the Chief Minister discussed the organizing of an air show during the Mysore Dussehra festival. He also discussed the provision of land of the Defense Department for defense corridors and development works in Bengaluru. The proposed meeting with the party high command of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar has created a stir in political circles.

According to sources, the two leaders can meet Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Wednesday evening and the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi. Although Siddaramaiah and Shivkumar have said that their visit to Delhi was related to their official work, their meeting with top leaders in view of ministers and MLAs indicating the leadership of leadership in the state and dissatisfaction in the party is considered to be important.

Shivkumar on Wednesday dismissed speculation of leadership change in the Congress -led government in the state and said that there is no plan to change the cabinet structure at present. Shivkumar told reporters, “There is going to be no reshuffle in the cabinet. I and the Chief Minister are meeting Union ministers to discuss various issues of the state.” After the completion of two and a half years of the Congress government in the state, Shivkumar called it a media speculation and clarified that there is no such plan.
