Siddak Singh, who hails from Phagwara, Punjab, has illuminated the name of the state by securing 157th rank in the Civil Services Examination 2024 of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). With this rank, he is believed to be selected in the Indian Police Service (IPS).

Siddak told that this was his sixth and last attempt. Earlier, he had reached the interview three times, but every time he missed the final list. This time he was quite positive.
Education from home, now wants to make the youth of Punjab aware
Siddak Singh did his schooling from St. Joseph’s Convent School, Phagwara and completed his graduation from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. Initially he coached from Delhi, but continued his studies after Kovid-19 from home.
He informed that now almost all the coaching institutes of Delhi are providing online classes, due to which there is no need for students to go to Delhi. He also said that there is still a lack of awareness among the youth of Punjab about civil service and there is a need to give them the right guidance.
12 hours of studies and strong will became the key to success
Sharing the routine of his studies, Siddak said that in the last months of the examination, he studied for 12 hours every day, while it was common to study 9 to 10 hours in normal days. He said that continuity and patience is the biggest key to pass the exam like UPSC. Siddak has given priority to North Zone and Uttar Pradesh as his favorite location.
This success of Siddak is an inspiration for all the youth who are preparing for a difficult exam like UPSC. He says that if the quality of coaching in Punjab is improved and the right guidance is received, then the youth can also get success sitting at home.
