Shubman Gill will not be available for this tournament, this 29 -year -old player can get captaincy

Shubman Gill is still suspense on whether the Dalip Trophy will play in 2025 before playing in the Asia Cup 2025. The Dalip Trophy will start from August 28 and the first match of the North Zone will be with the East Zone. Gill is currently the captain of the North Zone team but his team is not yet confident about whether Gill will be available or not.

The North Zone team also has Shubman Gill as well as Harshit Rana and both are part of the Indian team for the Asia Cup 2025. Both the players were expected to join the team at the Center of Excellence on August 27, a day before the match, but they have not heard a word about this from Gill or BCCI.

Gill was suspended when he had a viral fever and had a blood test last week. To play in this tournament, Gill must first take approval from the BCCI medical team. A member of the North Zone coaching staff told Revspports that we have not yet received any news from him or Shubman. So we are hoping that he will join the team with Harshit Rana today. Apart from this, I cannot say anything. If they are not available, I think we will be informed.
