Shubman Gill was chosen as ICC Player of the Month in Main Cricket for the month of July on Tuesday. Gill scored 567 runs in the tri -test matches played in England in July at an average of 94.50. He became the first male player to win the Player of the Month Award for the fourth time.

Gill scored 567 runs in the tri -test matches played in England in July at an average of 94.50. He became the first male player to win the Player of the Month Award for the fourth time. Earlier in January 2023, September 2023 and February 2025, he was chosen ICC Player of the Month. In women’s cricket, Ash Gardner and Hele Mathews have won the award four times.
Gill had 430 runs in the second Test match played against England in Birmingham. This was the second highest individual score in any Test match. In that Test match, the series was equal to 1-1 thanks to his 269 and 161 runs. In the second innings of the fourth Test match played in Manchester, he played a useful innings of 103 runs and helped to keep the match alive.
Apart from Gill, England captain Ben Stokes and South African all -rounder Vian Mulder were in the race to become the Player of the Month in Jula. On becoming the Player of the Month for the fourth time, Gill said that, ICC Player of the Month is very good for Jula. This time it matters even more because I have received this award as captain for the performance of my first Test series.
