Shreyas Iyer suffered serious injury, BCCI said his condition is stable, out of T20 series in Australia.

Indian batsman Shreyas Iyer has been admitted to hospital after suffering a horrific injury in the third ODI against Australia. Let us tell you that during the match, he fell in an unusual manner while catching Alex Carey and suffered a serious injury on his left rib cage, due to which his spleen got ruptured.
As per the current information, Iyer was immediately given first aid on the field and was ruled out of the match. India won the match by nine wickets, while Australia had already won the series by winning two matches in Perth and Adelaide.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said on Monday that “Shreyas Iyer suffered an injury to his left lower rib cage while fielding in the third ODI. He was taken to the hospital for further assessment and treatment. Scans have confirmed a ruptured spleen. He is currently medically stable and is slowly recovering.”
It is noteworthy that the Indian team doctor will remain in Sydney with Shreyas Iyer and will monitor his daily progress. At present, Shreyas is not included in the five-match T20 series against Australia starting next Wednesday. Despite this injury, the team management and experts are confident about his health condition and his recovery is expected soon.
