Shraddha Kapoor’s brother interrogated for five hours! Siddhant Kapoor’s name in underworld drugs case, Mumbai Police in action

Shraddha Kapoor’s brother Siddhant Kapoor is once again in the headlines due to a high-profile drug seizure case involving fugitive underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. The actor-director appeared before Mumbai’s Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) in Ghatkopar, where he was interrogated for hours, as his name had reportedly cropped up during the interrogation of one of the prime accused. Now with several celebrities being summoned, the case has sparked a new conversation about the alleged drug network operating in the entertainment and fashion circuits.

Siddhant, son of actor Shakti Kapoor and brother of actress Shraddha Kapoor, reached the Ghatkopar unit of the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) here to record his statement, officials said. Without giving further details, officials said the actor-director was interrogated for about five hours, after which he was let go.

ANC has summoned influencer Orhan Avatramani alias Ori on November 26 to record his statement in this matter. The Ghatkopar unit of the anti-narcotics cell summoned two Bollywood celebrities after their names cropped up during the interrogation of key accused Mohammad Salim Mohammad Suhail Shaikh in the Rs 252 crore ‘Mephedrone’ seizure case.

According to the police, Shaikh had claimed that some film and fashion personalities, a politician and a relative of fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim had attended rave parties organized by him in India and abroad.

Siddhant’s old drug case

Siddhant Kapoor, son of veteran actor Shakti Kapoor and brother of Shraddha Kapoor, was earlier detained in Bengaluru in 2022 on drug charges. That incident briefly attracted public attention, but it had no long-lasting legal consequences.As the investigation progresses, the ANC is expected to interrogate more people whose names may emerge during the inquiry. At present, officials say that the investigation is still ongoing, and no conclusions should be drawn until the statements are fully verified.
