Vigilance has received a big blow in the case of former DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar, who was arrested in a bribery case. In fact, the court has rejected the petition filed by Vigilance regarding the remand. After the arrest of former Punjab Police DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar, although the Punjab Vigilance Bureau has registered a case of disproportionate assets against him, he could not be remanded in the court.
A hearing was held in this case today in Mohali District Court. Chandigarh CBI filed its reply in the court. After filing the reply, the court dismissed the vigilance petition. The current situation is that the responsibility of investigation in this case will remain with the CBI for the time being. However, it is not yet known what was the reason behind the dismissal of the vigilance petition.
It may be mentioned that CBI lawyer Narendra Singh said in the court that important evidence has been recovered from the mobile phone of former DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar. The lawyer said that the electronic devices are hidden and their recovery is necessary.

Regarding the notice in the bribery case, the CBI lawyer said that the case of bribery is registered under several sections, so there is no need to issue a notice. Some important evidence has been found during the remand of middleman Krishna, so it is necessary to take the former DIG on remand to further the investigation.
