The news agency PTI on Thursday quoted the officials as saying. ED has earlier questioned some cricketers in this case, including the name of former left -handed batsman Suresh Raina. The ED questioned Suresh Raina for 8 hours and recorded his statement.
At the same time, the report said that the Central Investigation Agency will record the statement of Shikha Dhawan under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act as part of this investigation related to the illegal betting app called 1xbet. It is believed that the 39 -year -old former Indian cricketer was associated with this app through some advertisements. The ED wants to find out their relationship with this app during interrogation. Which is accused of cheating crores of rupees from many people and investors or stealing a huge amount of tax.
Let us know that, the central government has recently banned online gaming with real money by bringing a law. In such a situation, there will now be no promotion of such apps nor will it be able to use it legally in India. The ED had questioned Suresh Raina about his relations with this app, its earnings from its promotion and communication between the two sides. This is happening with Shikhar Dhawan. The agency recently called Google and Meta representatives in the case for questioning.
