Baba Ramdev made an objectionable statement about the products of Hamdard.
The Delhi High Court is scheduled to be heard for the second consecutive day in the case of objectionable remarks on Ruh Afja of Hamdard Company. On Thursday, the court expressed displeasure over the second video of Yogguru, saying that Ramdev is not under anyone’s control. They live in their own world.
Baba Ramdev called Ruh Afja as ‘Sharbat Jihad’ without naming the Hamdard Company. After this, the dispute increased. Ramdev posted two videos on social media.
Justice Bansal said yesterday,
In view of the previous order, his affidavit (affidavit) and this video falls under priority contempt. I will now issue contempt notice. We are calling them here.
The court also said on Thursday that Baba Ramdev released a new video, in which comments have been made against Hamdard. When this new video came, information was not found.
On April 22, the High Court had said in the order to Ramdev- neither make any statement nor share any video about sympathy products.
Patanjali Sharbat Launching Video
On 3 April, Ramdev launched Patanjali Sharbat. During this time, the sorbet was commented.
Ramdev’s lawyer said- will remove objectionable part
When the High Court expressed the video of Ramdev, his lawyer said that the objectionable part from the latest video of Yogguru would be removed from every social media platform within 24 hours. On this, the court said that you followed the order, file an affidavit within a week.

Baba Ramdev launched Patanjali’s syrup on 3 April. He said on the social media platform x that a company makes syrup. The money that is received from it makes madrasas and mosques. Baba Ramdev had said that just as love jihad and vote jihad is going on, so sherbat jihad is also going on.
Ruh Afza Sharbat making company Hamdard filed a petition in the Delhi High Court against this statement. Senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi argued on behalf of the company. Rohatgi said that this is an attack on the name of religion.
Hamdard said- Ramdev’s statement like Hate Speech
Rohatgi said that Ramdev has attacked the Hamdard Company on the basis of religion through his statement. He took the name of Sherbet Jihad. Ramdev’s name is famous, without the evil of any other product, he cannot sell Patanjali goods. This statement has surpassed evil, it does religious partition. Ramdev’s comment is similar to the Hate Speech.
Rohatgi reminded of the case of misleading advertisements and said that the Supreme Court had ordered Ramdev and Balakrishna to apologize to the people. Rohatgi said that confusion was spread among the people through advertisements and also made statements against allopathic medicines.
Ramdev made 2 statements during the promotion of syrup
1. Masjid-Marasaras makes a syrup company
Ramdev posted a 10 -minute video on social media x on 3 April. In the video, Ramdev promoted Patanjali’s syrup. He said- A company makes syrup, the money that is received from it makes madrasas and mosques. If you drink that syrup, mosques and madrasas will be built.
2. If you drink Patanjali Sharbat, you will become Gurukul
Ramdev had said that if you drink Patanjali’s syrup, then Gurukul will become, Acharya will become Kulam. Patanjali University and Board of Education of Indian Education will move forward. I say that this syrup is jihad. Just as love jihad and vote jihad is going on, similarly ‘Sharbat jihad’ is also going on.
When the controversy increased, on April 12, Ramdev posted another video. In this, Ramdev said, ‘I put a video, everyone got chilly. Thousands of videos were made against me. It was said that I left the new Shigufa of Sherbet Jihad. Hey, what I left, this is. These people run love jihad, land jihad, vote jihad, many types of jihad. I am not saying that he is a terrorist, but it is definitely that he has allegiance to Islam.
President of All India Muslim Jamaat said- Baba Ramdev is running yoga jihad
Maulana Shahabuddin Rajvi Barelvi, President of All India Muslim Jamaat on Ramdev’s Sherbet Jihad controversy, said on April 14, ‘Ramdev should promote his sherbet a lot, but do not add the spirit of Hamdard Company to Jihad.
