Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said on Tuesday that India needs to strengthen its marine preparations due to security challenges in the eastern part of the country and the dynamics of strength in the Indian Ocean region (IOR). Speaking on the occasion of the watery of two stealth frigates in the Eastern Navy Command of the Indian Navy in Andhra Pradesh, Singh said that when we look at the eastern part, we also see similar security challenges there.

Rajnath Singh further said that the power demonstration in the Indian Ocean makes us alert repeatedly. The interests of many countries collide here, and that is why we have to keep our marine preparations strong. Rajnath Singh said that if we talk about the western region of India, then from the Arabian Sea to the beach of Middle East and East Africa, a variety of naval activities are seen. The geopolitical situation here is such that it has the ability to directly influence our economic growth.
The Defense Minister said that India’s energy requirements, such as oil and natural gas, largely depend on the safety of the Indian Ocean region. He said that the role of the Navy is not only limited to sea patrol, but it is a major pillar of India’s national economic security. Singh further said that India is not aimed at demonstrating its naval power and does not believe in aggressive expansionism, but when its safety is threatened, it will not back down. He said that the whole world knows that we have never attacked any country first. We never tried to provoke anyone.
Rajnath Singh said that the cowardly attack in Pahalgam did not pass long. The terrorists murdered innocent people by asking religion. That attack on our innocent citizens was carried out to instigate us. Without provoking, after much deliberation, we gave an effective and accurate answer. We started the operation vermilion and decided to destroy the terrorist bases and execute it.

The Defense Minister said that our country has repeatedly shown that when a challenge comes, we are united and victorious to face it. National unity, discipline, sacrifice and dedication are our real strength. The entire country under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi is united against terrorism. Rajnath Singh also said that it is necessary for India to keep yourself updated and find new solutions in today’s changing war form. He said, “Old thinking will not work today. We will also have to estimate new dangers and keep thinking about new solutions. Our government has also understood it and has given priority to research and development in the defense sector under the leadership of the Prime Minister.”
