Security forces succeeded in Narayanpur, Chhattisgarh, more than 26 Naxalites killed in encounter

Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma on Wednesday confirmed that more than 26 Naxalites have been killed in an encounter with security forces in Narayanpur. He said that some big names have also been killed in the encounter. A police officer said that a major anti -Naxal campaign was going on in the Jungle Abujhmad area of ​​Narayanpur district, where an encounter took place between Naxalites and District Reserve Guard (DRG) personnel. The operation, which started in Abujhmad area surrounded by forest in the morning, was involved in DRG jawans of Narayanpur, Bijapur and Dantewada districts. In this encounter, security forces allegedly surrounded top Naxalite leaders.

The official said that on the basis of intelligence about the presence of senior cadres of Maoists, the district reserve guard teams of four districts started a campaign in the area, after which Naxalites started firing. The incident occurred exactly two weeks after the death of 15 Naxalites in an encounter with security forces near the Karegutta hills on the Telangana border in the forests of Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh.
