Security forces in Manipur have recovered large quantities of weapons and ammunition, including more than 300 rifles from five districts of the Imphal Valley. An official gave this information on Saturday.
He said that during a coordinated campaign based on midnight intelligence information on Friday and Saturday, Manipur Police, Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) and army joint teams recovered large quantities of weapons.
The official said the seized items include 151 SLR, 65 INSAS rifle, 73 other rifles, five carbines, two MP5 guns, 12 light machine guns, six rifles of AK series, two amogh rifles, a mortar, six pistols, one AR-15 and two flair guns.
