After the recent military tension and operation vermilion between India and Pakistan in Pathankot, life in Pathankot is gradually becoming normal. In view of Operation Sindoor, the Punjab government ordered the closure of educational institutions for three days in Sangrur along with six districts of Punjab – Pathankot, Amritsar, Taran, Ferozepur, Fazilka and Gurdaspur on 8 May. On May 10, the situation improved after the ceasefire agreement between the two countries.

Principal said- there is a smile on the faces of children
Rita Sharma, principal of a local school, said that it was nice to see a smile and enthusiasm on the faces of the children. This is a major step towards the normal situation. However, some parents are still cautious. Local resident Sanjeev Kumar said that the school is happy to open, but there is still a little fear in the mind.

Minister Bains said- We are proud of our armies
Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains tweeted, “All the educational institutions of Punjab have reopened with regular classes and examinations. We are proud of our army.”
Explain that Pathankot was included in the border areas where drone attacks and firing incidents came to light from Pakistan. India started Operation Sindoor at midnight of May 6, after which both countries signed an agreement to stop military actions on 10 May.
