The chairman said that we are analyzing the data. If we get a single candidate with whom injustice has been done, then we will conduct the exam again for him. SSC is a statutory body that conducts recruitment examination for various posts in ministries, departments and other government organizations. Between July 24 and August 1, the examination of phase 13 conducted at 194 centers in 142 cities continued to struggle with problems like sudden cancellation, software crash, failure in biometric verification and allotment of wrong centers. During the examination, about 5 lakh candidates took the exam.
Due to these disruptions, a wave of protests ran across Delhi last week, causing thousands of candidates to take to the streets and also reacted to social media. Talking to ANI, the Speaker admitted to mismanagement, including technical disturbances and the centers of far and wide to the candidates. He assured that all the problems will be resolved in the coming months. He added, “We will improve and plan in the coming months.”
To remove the immediate concern of the candidates, additional examinations were conducted in three shifts on August 2. In two centers, one Delhi (Pawan Ganga) and the other in Uttar Pradesh (Azukasa), the examinations were completely canceled, affected by about 2,500 students. On August 2, about 16,600 candidates were to take the examination again, but only 8,048 candidates appeared, which shows 60 percent attendance. The chairman said that if necessary, the SSC will conduct another re -examination for the affected candidates.
