Troubled by the garbage piles in the city in Jagraon of Ludhiana district, Congress leaders on Wednesday handed over the demand letter to SDM Karandeep Singh. This demand letter was sent by his Congress leaders on behalf of Ludhiana MP Amarinder Singh Raja Wading.

The MP has expressed concern over the deteriorating cleaning system of the jagaras in it. He wrote in his demand letter that garbage has spread on the streets of the city and every corner. There is no fixed space to dump garbage. Due to this, the smell and dirt are spreading. The threat to people’s health is increasing.
Demand to give necessary resources to city council
The MP wrote that the city council has neither necessary machines nor arrangements to separate garbage. He demanded from the administration that the land should be fixed for dumping garbage. Necessary resources should be given to the city council. Regular cleaning campaign should be conducted. The garbage system should be repaired.
The MP warned that if concrete action is not taken in a week, a protest movement will be started with the public. He said that he wants accountability from the administration about public problems.
SDM sought solution in a week
Many Congress leaders were present on this occasion. Council head Jatinderpal Rana said that the mountains of garbage have been erected in the city only due to the negligence of the officers of the city council. Cleaning is not done on time. MP Wading himself saw the situation during the Jagraon tour a few days ago. He asked the SDM to resolve in a week at the same time.
