Punjabi singer Jasbir Jassi has supported singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh amid the ongoing controversy over ‘Sardar Ji 3’. The film has faced criticism due to the inclusion of Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in the film and not releasing in India, due to which film organizations like FWICE and AICWA have demanded a ban on Diljit.

Jasbir Jassi said that India steals songs from Pakistan
Talking about the controversy over Hania in Sardar G3, Jasbir reacted to the ‘double standards’ of those who opposed the film. Describing it as ‘unfair’, he said that many Indian films steal music from Pakistan.
He feels that it is unfair to target artists for cross -border cooperation, while many Indian films “use stolen Pakistani music”.
During an interview with NDTV, Jasbir supported Diljit amid the ongoing criticisms.

Jasbir Jassi supported Diljit-Hania Aamir amid criticism of ‘Sardar Ji 3’
In an interview with NDTV, Jasbir Jassi, who is most known for his songs like ‘Dil Le Gaye Kudi Gujarat Di’ and ‘Kudi Kudi’, said that he “respects people’s feelings that we should love our country and stand with him.” However, he also pointed to “double criteria”, stating that many songs in Indian films are sung by artists from other countries.
He also said, “I see how Diljit Dosanjh and his film are facing opposition on social media, because there is also a Pakistani artist in that film. I respect people’s feelings that we should love our country and we should stand with our country. But, why, why do you want to sing in an Indian film, if you do not want any Pakistani artist, but you want to work, but you want to work, but you want to work. 80% of our industry songs are stolen, whether their tunes or whole songs are sung by the artists of that country because I do not want to name because the list is very long.
Micah Singh said that Diljit should apologize
On Instagram profile, singer Micah Singh urged Diljit Dosanjh to apologize for casting Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in his upcoming film ‘Sardar Ji 3’. The note reads, “Friends, I think we all make mistakes in life. But when we do, a simple word is very powerful: forgiveness. If Diljit has made a mistake, we are all ready to forgive. But they should apologize and remove all objectionable scenes from the film. That’s all. No one hate.
Diljit Dosanjh controversy
The film came into controversy due to the completely ban on Pakistani actors in the Indian film industry since the Pulwama attack. After the Pahalgam attack this year, the ban increased even more, after which Operation Sindoor was started by India in retaliation.Sardar Ji 3 also has Neeru Bajwa. The film will no longer be released in India. It will be released abroad on 27 June.
