Home Minister Amit Shah has confirmed that the Pahalgam attack was carried out by Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba. He said in the Rajya Sabha that Prime Minister Modi decided to attack his headquarters and we were successful in it. We killed both the trigger pressers and those who gave orders. He said that Operation Sindoor and Operation Mahadev together are the most rigorous response against terrorism anywhere in the world. He said that India’s resolve to fight terrorism under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi is unmatched.
Home Minister Amit Shah told the Rajya Sabha that three terrorists were killed under Operation Mahadev. Shah said that The Resistance Front (TRF) has taken responsibility for the Pahalgam attack. He said in the Rajya Sabha that I myself visited Jammu and Kashmir. We had not only pledged to catch terrorists, but also to stop them from escaping to Pakistan – and we were successful on both fronts. Shah told Parliament that forensic matching has confirmed that the rifles recovered from the slain militants were the same who were used in the Pahalgam murder case. He said that there is no debate or doubt now. He further said that 155 people were questioned and shelter providers were also identified and investigated.
Amit Shah targeted the opposition in the Rajya Sabha and asked if he was trying to save the terrorists. He asked, “Who did you want to save-Lashkar-e-Taiba?” And further said that Operation Mahadev killed the attackers the same day on which questions were raised. He said, “Chidambaram’s statement has exposed the Congress to the world.” Shah said that “Har Har Mahadev” was not just a religious slogan, but the arms used by Shivaji Maharaj and his forces. He said during his speech in the Rajya Sabha, “It represents India’s power, resolution and ability.”
Amit Shah said in the Rajya Sabha that such barbaric crimes had never happened, where people were asked their religion before killing women and children.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar attacked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday, calling him “China Guru” and alleged that some people received their information on China by participating in the 2008 Beijing Olympics and by taking “private tuition” from the Chinese Ambassador. Describing Operation Sindoor as a well-planned accurate response to the cruel Pahalgam terror attack, S Jaishankar said that it has now become the basis of India’s new policy. BJP President JP Nadda launched a scathing attack on the Congress and alleged that between 2004 and 2014 he did not take any action after terrorist incidents in a period of 10 years as it did not have political will. Raising the issue of arrest of two Kaithalik nuns in the fort of Chhattisgarh on Wednesday, a Congress MP alleged that the people of a right -wing organization beat up both nuns and both were arrested by the state police without any reason. KC Venugopal of Congress raised the issue in zero hour and demanded the release of both nuns.
