Actor Vikas Verma played the role of his bodyguard Salim in Salman Khan’s film ‘Sikander’. Vikas says that everyone dreams of sharing the screen with Salman brother. His dream was also fulfilled in this film. Salman Bhai is his Guru Dronacharya. When people used to make fun of him, Salman was inspired by Bhai and made a body. Used to gym in front of his picture. Vikas Verma recently shared some more interesting things about the film ‘Sikander’ and Salman Khan during a conversation with Dainik Bhaskar. Here is some special excerpt ..
Question- Tell me something about the film ‘Alexander’?
answer- The film was ready within 6 months. I think this is the first such film of Salman Bhai, which has been released in such a short time. That simply because the film was to be released on Eid. Bhaijaan’s fan wanted Idi and got a beautiful Idi. I have played the role of Salman Bhai’s bodyguard Salim in this film. For the first time I have played a positive character in it.
Question- How are you associated with this film?
answer- I have earlier done two films ‘Twins 2’ and ‘Heropanti 2’ with Sajid Sir (Nadiadwala). Sajid sir is like my godfather, I respect him a lot. He loved my work in these films, but I never asked for work from the front. He praised me a lot after watching my films ‘Mom’ and ‘Coolie Number One’.
When ‘Alexander’ was being made, I told Sajid sir that anything small in the film will play. Just in this film, Salman is required to work with Bhai. He did not get any message for a long time. I started to find another job desperately. Suddenly Sajid sir got a message for this film.
Question- What was the feeling when I met Salman Khan on the set for the first time?
answer- It seemed that the lion had come with a herd. As soon as he arrived, everyone stood on the set. In the same way, as soon as the principal of the school arrives, everyone stands in his honor. They smile very little, but their eyes seem to be a smile.
They come on the set and make everyone feel comfortable first. After that you get involved in their work. I had a walking scene with him on the first day. After the scene was over, Salman sir made him sit with him. Sitting near them, I was thinking how to say something. You will not believe, it took me 60 days to speak Hello.
Question- How did he become a coincidence?
answer- Only those working with him could go to him among Z Plus Security. One day only a few people were sitting near Salman sir. I felt that the time has come to say the talk of the heart. He hello and said that whenever I try to say something to you, I get freeze. Hearing this, he laughed loudly, avoiding the matter and put his hand on my shoulder with love and went away.
Question- At that time Salman Khan was getting a lot of threats, what kind of arrangements were there for security during the shooting?
answer- We used to have an ID card. There was a barcode in it. It was only after showing that there was an entry inside the set. The people of the rest of the unit were kept outside. Our mobile camera was taped, so that the photo could not be taken. During that time Salman Bhai used to remain very calm. For a month, he was very disturbed mentally.
Question- Some special memories related to the set?
answer- Where Salman Sir goes, his gym goes along. Their gym is inside the tent on the set. The vanity van stands in front of him. Outside the vanity van, they sit on the chair and relax. It seems that he is sitting outside his bungalow.
I did not get time to gym at the time of shooting. When he came to know about this, he said that you can do gym with us, but he is my Guru Dronacharya. How could he gym in front of them.
Question- Since when did you consider Salman as Guru Dronacharya?
answer- I stutter to speak. In childhood, he used to stutter so much that he could not speak. People used to make fun of a lot, at that time it was very lean. I saw Salman Bhai’s film ‘Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya’ for the first time. A person with a body was seen in it. Seeing him, I was inspired to build a body. From there, Salman Bhai considered his Guru Dronacharya.
Question- What did you give to your Guru Dronacharya in Dakshina?
answer- I have not yet given Guru Dakshina, but I definitely got Idi from my brother. Shooting with brother for 90 days, but could not take a photo with him. The shooting was over, when I know that brother has to shoot another scene. When I met at that time, I took out a photo with my brother. That photo is such that Guru Dronacharya and Eklavya are sitting. That photo is Idi for me from Salman Bhai.
