On 20 June 2011, Virat Kohli made his Test debut against the West Indies. He scored 9230 runs in 210 innings of 123 Tests. Kohli has put 31 fifty and 30 centuries in the Test. He is the fourth highest run -scorer in Tests.

Along with Kohli, fast bowlers Praveen Kumar and Abhinav Mukund made a Test debut. Mukund scored 320 runs in 14 innings of 7 Tests. At the same time, Praveen Kumar achieved 27 successes in 11 innings of 6 Tests. During this, he once took 5 wickets hall.
