Five people, including a woman, were killed and eight others were injured in a horrific road accident near Jaipur on Wednesday morning. Police gave this information. Police said the newly married bride was also included in the dead.
Raisar police officer Raghuveer Singh said that the accident took place on the Dausa-Manoharpur highway near Bhatabas village in Raisar area at around 6.15 am when a truck and jeep collided face to face. He told that there were barati in the jeep who were returning from Madhya Pradesh.
Singh said that five people, including the bride, died and eight others were injured in the accident, the injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital. He said that the katkar was so strong that the car’s car was completely damaged and the people riding in it were trapped, after hard work, the victims could be taken out. After the accident, traffic came to a standstill on the highway and there was chaos. Police said that Barati was returning from Shahdol in Madhya Pradesh to Udaipurwati town of Jhunjhunu.

Police said the bride Bharti (18) was a resident of Mandoli village in Shahdol. According to the police, the groom Vikram Meena (25), a resident of Udaipurwati, was seriously injured, and other seriously injured passengers have been admitted to the nearest private hospital. Police said other dead have been identified as Jeetu (33), Subhash (28), Ravi Kumar (17).

Police said that a deceased is being identified. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has mourned the accident. He wrote on X, The news of loss of life in the horrific road accident on Dausa-Manoharpur highway in Jaipur is very sad. District administration officials have been directed to ensure quick medical treatment of the injured citizens.
