Russia attacks Ukraine’s ‘lifeline’, Dnepropetrovsk bridge destroyed, huge blow to Kiev

The Russian military has stepped up attacks and sieges in Ukraine in the past week, targeting key military and logistics centers. In this major attack, Russia launched a precise air strike on a strategic bridge in the Dnepropetrovsk region of Ukraine, completely destroying it. The bridge was a vital supply route for the Ukrainian military, carrying weapons, military equipment and personnel, making its destruction a major blow to Kyiv.

Major supply line destroyed The Russian Air Force took precise aim at the bridge, reducing it to rubble. Ukrainian forces depended on this route to deliver essential military supplies and reinforcements, particularly to the Eastern Front. The Russian Defense Ministry described the attack as a “targeted attack on a military target”, aimed at disrupting Ukraine’s logistics chain. However, local officials have warned that the destruction could pose additional risks to nearby villages and civilians.

Sergei Lysenko, governor of the Dnepropetrovsk region, posted on social media that for the Ukrainian army, this bridge was supposed to be a lifeline. Its destruction would severely hamper logistics support and could allow Russian troops to push deeper into Ukrainian territory.
