Russia and Ukraine have attacked each other’s bases with long distance drones. Officials gave this information on Friday. At the same time, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that his country is ready for a new round of peace talks in Turki city of Istanbul.
Putin said that Russian and Ukrainian officials are discussing timely for a possible new round meeting. He told reporters during the visit to Belarus that the conditions of the potential ceasefire, which the Kremlin has so far rejected effectively, is expected to join the agenda.
At the moment there are no signs of war stopping because international peace efforts under the leadership of America have not yet yielded any result. The recent two -round talks between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations in Istanbul were brief and no progress was made to reach any agreement.
Ukraine’s Defense Minister Rustom Umrov said Ukraine wants the next step in the peace talks to have a direct meeting between President Volodimir Zalnsky and Putin. The Russian army attacked Ukraine with 363 drones and eight missiles on Thursday and Friday, including Shahid and Dicoy drones.
Along with this, Ukraine’s Air Force has killed the remaining drones and six cruise missiles except four drones. Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense said that 39 Ukrainian drones were dropped in several areas overnight, including 19 in the Rostov region and 13 in the Volgograd region. The two area is located east of Ukraine.
Long-distance drone attacks in the war between Russia-Ukraine have made headlines globally. The conflict between the two countries has entered the fourth year. The deadly drones being developed rapidly by both sides have transformed the war into new weapons testing grounds.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported that 359 of the drones fired by Russia were either killed or blocked. Officials said flights were suspended for some time from three airports in Russia due to the Ukrainian attack.
He said that the Crimea Bridge was also closed for some time due to the attacks targeted by Crimea throughout the night. Russia and Ukraine have not reported any major damage or casualties in the attacks.
