What was ‘Operation Sindoor’?
On April 22, Pakistani terrorist organization The Resistance Front (TRF) launched a terrorist attack in the Basaron Valley of Pahalgam, killing 26 civilians. In response, India launched accurate attacks on terrorist bases in Pakistan on the night of 6-7 May. Nine launch pads were destroyed in these attacks and more than 100 terrorists were killed.
After this action, India sent seven multi -party delegations to more than 30 countries to put their tough stance against terrorism in front of the world. One of these delegations was led by Shashi Tharoor. These included leaders of various parties like Sarfaraz Ahmed (JMM), Ganti Harish Madhur Balayogi (TDP), Shashank Mani Tripathi (BJP), Bhubaneswar Kalita (BJP), Milind Devda (Shiv Sena) and Tejashwi Surya (BJP). The purpose of these groups was to state that India’s action was not going to increase stress, but was a sign of a strong response to any future audacity of Pakistan.
