Mumbai Police said on Saturday that an FIR has been registered against the producer of the Hindi film ‘So Long Valley’ for cheating model Ruchi Gujjar for cheating Rs 23 lakh. In the viral video of the film’s premiere on Friday night, Gujjar is shown slapping producer Karan Singh on the stage. Police said an FIR was registered at Oshiwara police station a day earlier under various sections related to fraud. According to the complaint, Singh had allegedly taken Rs 23 lakh from Gujjar, with his stake in a television film project, which includes the benefit in profit and on-screen credit.

Allegedly, producer Karan Singh allegedly took Rs 23 lakh from him with the promise of starting a television film project. Ruchi Gujjar claimed that he had assured him a stake in profit and on-screen credit, but the project never proceeded. The situation took a dramatic turn at the premiere of the film held in Andheri West on Friday night. In the viral video of the program, Gujjar is allegedly seen slapping Singh and hitting her slippers.

An official of the Oshiwara police station confirmed that an FIR has been lodged against Singh under various sections of fraud against Singh on the complaint lodged by Gujjar on Thursday.
The official said the model alleged that Singh had taken money from him on the pretext of starting a film project for a television channel and promised to give him a share and on-screen credit in profits.
“The complainant said that the project was never completed and Singh did not return his money.”
Gujjar’s counsel said that a separate FIR would be lodged against Singh at Amboli police station for attacking the actor.
So Long Valley is a Hindi language crime thriller film, which stars Tridha Chaudhary and Vikram Kochhar in the lead roles.
